A TMS-580-2000A-100kV and a TMS-580-4000A-100kV Transformer Loss Measuring were delivered end of 2006 to Hyundai Heavy for their new Power Transformer Test Field in ULSAN South Korea.

When measuring losses, the power transformer presents a very low power factor. Since the lower amount of the losses in the transformer mean a better price for the transformer manufacturer for his product, his interest in accurate measurements even or especially at low power factor, is obvious.
With its excellent specifications over a wide range, from low currents and voltages up to 4000A and 100kV or 200kV respectively, the TMS-580-series is an ideal measuring system for this application.
